Socio-cultural antropological factors in female adolescents with sexually transmitted diseases
Abstract
Background: adolescence constitutes a stage of risks during which the socio-cultural anthropological element have a determining influence, and can predispose to the acquisition of sexually transmitted infections.
Objective: to determine the anthropological socio-cultural factors in the incidence of sexually transmitted infections in female adolescents.
Methods: a descriptive and cross-sectional observational study was carried out, whose universe were all patients with diagnosis of sexually transmitted infections who attended Child and Adolescent Consultation Pediatric Specialties Polyclinic, of the Camagüey province, during the study period, they were 50. The variables studied were: type of adolescence according to the classification of the UNICEF concept of adolescence, risky sexual behavior, level of education of patients and relatives, family income, family composition according to number of members, ontogenesis, generations and level of family functioning according to FF-SILL registry. The information obtained was processed using the SPSS statistical program for Microsoft Excel 2017. The methods used were descriptive statistics of the distribution of absolute and relative frequencies. The results were presented in tables and graphic.
Results: middle adolescence, risky sexual behavior, average technical education level of patients and their parents, good family income, medium and nuclear family, trigenerational and dysfunctional predominated.
Conclusions: the results of this study show the need to carry out psycho-educational actions for the adolescents and their families.
