Monitorización de fármacos: una necesidad social en la provincia de Camagüey

Abstract

Se hace referencia a los problemas que existen actualmente en la terapéutica moderna y que pudieran ser solucionados con el desarrollo de la Farmacia Clínica, especialmente a través de las disciplinas Biofarmacia y Farmacocinética y dentro de éstas, el papel de la monitorización de los fármacos. Se destaca el papel de la ciencia como fenómeno de la realidad objetiva y las leyes que la rigen, así como la importancia de la investigación sanitaria. Se define la monitorización de fármacos, los beneficios que aporta este servicio y la razón por la cual constituye una necesidad social. A su vez se exponen algunas experiencias en Cuba y en la provincia de Camagüey. Por último, se concluye haciendo énfasis en el impacto económico y social que traería consigo la práctica cotidiana de esta actividad en los servicios de farmacia de hospitales en esta provincia.
