Desarrollo mamario de los principales grupos étnicos en la provincia de Camagüey

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio en 200 mujeres comprendidas entre los 11 y los 22 años de edad, a las cuales se les incluyó de forma voluntaria. Se les realizaron tres mediciones de sus mamas en un período de dos años, con la finalidad de determinar la forma de desarrollo de las mamas. Para el estudio se emplearon los patrones antropométricos mamarios propuestos por Smith y modificados por García, las mediciones se realizaron utilizando una cinta métrica calibrada en cm. Del estudio se concluye que las mujeres de la raza blanca, como promedio, tienden a desarrollar mamas de tipo globuloso con una marcada prolongación axilar, las de la raza negra, mamas de tipo cónica y las mestizas mamas globulares.
