Intervención comunitaria educativa del paciente hipertenso en un área de salud

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio de intervención comunitaria educativa en los consultorios del médico de familia del Policlínico Docente Ignacio Agramonte con el objetivo de elevar la educación para la salud sobre hipertensión arterial que deben tener los pacientes. Esta intervención comunitaria se llevó a cabo por estudiantes de 5to año de Medicina en su rotación por las asignaturas sociomédicas del curso 2000-2001 y consistió en dinámicas de grupos realizadas por los propios estudiantes. Como resultado se obtuvo que la mayor cantidad de hipertensos correspondía a los mayores de 40 años, mujeres, trabajadoras y con nivel de escolaridad secundaria terminada; los niveles de conocimiento sobre el tratamiento de la hipertensión arterial son menores que sobre la clínica de la enfermedad y después de la segunda dinámica grupal se obtuvo mayor incremento de respuestas correctas sobre tratamiento que sobre clínica de la enfermedad. Después de la intervención comunitaria educativa empleada, los pacientes mejoraron el conocimiento sobre su enfermedad, así como el tratamiento, lo que trajo como consecuencia mejor control de la misma.
