Artritis reumatoide. Criterios diagnósticos y severidad radiológica

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo con el objetivo de relacionar los criterios diagnósticos de la artritis reumatoide y la severidad radiológica en todos los pacientes diagnosticados en el hospital Manuel Ascunce Domenech, de Camagüey, durante 1996 al 2000. El universo estuvo constituido por 33 pacientes cuyos datos se procesaron utilizando el programa Microstad. Predominaron los enfermos con más de 46 años (69, 7 %) y color blanco de la piel (57, 57 %); el índice radiológico de Larsen más frecuente fue el Grado III con el 42, 43 %. En cuanto a los criterios diagnósticos, la rigidez matinal, la bilateralidad y simetría, así como los cambios radiológicos afectaron al 100 % de los pacientes, seguidos por la artritis de las manos y el factor reumatoideo positivo, en todos ellos los mayores porcentajes se presentaron en el grado III de severidad radiológica.
