Diagnóstico educativo sobre salud bucal en escolares

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo de sistemas y servicios de salud consistente en un diagnóstico educativo sobre salud bucal a 63 niños de tercero, cuarto y quinto grados de la escuela Clodomira Acosta en el año 2002, para determinar los hábitos perjudiciales a la salud bucal, la percepción de las necesidades de atención estomatológica, la preparación para fomentar la salud y el riesgo a enfermar, además de las necesidades de aprendizaje sobre los problemas de salud bucal, sus causas y sus medidas preventivas. Se revisaron las historias clínicas individuales de atención estomatológica y se aplicó un cuestionario. Los resultados obtenidos indicaron que la totalidad de los niños presentaron más de un hábito pernicioso para la salud bucal, que no conocían sus necesidades reales y requirieron de aprendizaje sobre los problemas de salud que padecen, sus causas y sus medidas preventivas.
