Trasplante renal. Comportamiento histopatológico en cinco años

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo para caracterizar los hallazgos histopatológicos y clínico-humorales en pacientes con trasplante renal en el Hospital Manuel Ascunce Domenech de Camagüey, desde enero de 1998 a diciembre de 2002. El universo estuvo constituido por 138 biopsias realizadas a 62 pacientes con trasplante renal, diagnosticados por la reciente clasificación de Banff de 1997 para rechazo, establecida en la provincia. Se tuvo en cuenta el estudio de enfermedades histopatológicas diferentes al rechazo que afectaron el curso evolutivo del trasplante. Se constató que la mayor parte de los pacientes correspondieron al sexo masculino 44 (70, 96 %), el grupo mayor de edades estuvo entre 31–40 años con 19 pacientes (30, 65 %) y el primer mes del trasplante fue el período en que se realizó la mayor cantidad de biopsias con 43 (31, 15 %). De las categorías de la clasificación de Banff predominaron las correspondientes al rechazo y de ellas, el rechazo agudo grado I-A con 26 categorías (26 %), la necrosis tubular aguda fue la enfermedad no inmunológica más observada en 27 enfermos (27 %) y la elevación de la creatinina fue el criterio clínico humoral más utilizado con 124 (91, 85 %).
