Behavior mammary ptosis, versatility in her treatment
Abstract
Introduction: The breasts represent a very important part of the body of the woman. They have always been considered like a zone impregnated of sensuality and feminine beauty.
Objective: To describe the behavior of the mammary ptosis and the versatility in its treatment.
Methods: A descriptive, longitudinal and prospective study was carried out in the admitted patients in the service of Plastic Surgery at the Manuel Ascunce Domenech Universitary Hospital, of the city Camagüey, during the period understood from May, 2019 to April, 2021. They studied 34 patients in those who they had in account variables: degree of mammary ptosis, age, background not surgical, surgical technologists, and complications.
Results: It predominated the patients who mammary ptosis in degree II, 19 (55.88 %), in the ages of 28-37 years with 11 patients for a 32.40 %. Followed of the age group from 38 to 47 years with the 14.71 %. The weight loss and breast-feeding constituted the surgical predominant background. The patients that had mammary ptosis degree II had between two and three childbirths, nine patients for the 26.47 %. The Gothic technique was the most used in the patients with mammary ptosis degree I, in five patients (14.71 %). Dehiscence, present in six patients for the 17.64 % followed with the hematoma and the local infection found in four patients (11.76 %) were the complications largely found.
Conclusions: The mammary ptosis is a morphological-functional alteration frequent of the breast, originated for multiple factors and it holds a varied collection of surgical technics for its correction with scarce complications.
