Aplicación de la analgesia quirúrgica acupuntural en el Hospital Militar de Camagüey

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio observacional descriptivo y retrospectivo durante los meses de enero a diciembre de 1998, en el Hospital Militar de Camagüey, para conocer las intervenciones quirúrgicas realizadas con analgesia quirúrgica acupuntural. De un total de 485 intervenciones quirúrgicas tributarias de analgesia quirúgica acupuntural se realizaron 396 que representan el 74 % de las mismas. Los servicios que más se destacaron en este aspecto fueron: Oftalmología con 274 tributarias y 257 realizadas con analgesia quirúrgica para un 94 % de cumplimiento y Cirugía General que con 159 intervenciones tributarias realizó 75 para un 47 %. Las intervenciones quirúrgicas que más se han realizado y con mejores resultados son: catarata con 199 tributarias y 199 realizadas para un 100 %, glaucoma con 54 tributarias y la misma cifra realizadas con analgesia quirúrgica acupuntural para un 100 %, tiroidectomía con 15 y 14 realizadas para un 93 %. Se han realizado 31 tipos diferentes de intervenciones quirúrgicas fuera del plan de las tributarias, fundamentalmente. Estos resultados demuestran que la analgesia quirúrgica acupuntural es aplicable en las intervenciones tributarias según el programa de Medicina Natural y Tradicional al igual que en otras enfermedades fuera del plan de las tributarias.
