Uso de la acupuntura y técnicas afines en el tratamiento del Síndrome Vertiginoso

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio en 50 pacientes con diagnóstico de Síndrome Vertiginoso periférico en el Hospital Militar Clínico Quirúrgico Docente de Camagüey Dr. Octavio de la Concepción y de la Pedraja. El universo quedó dividido en dos grupos de pacientes de 25 cada uno. Al primer grupo se le practicó un esquema de tratamiento con acupuntura y técnicas afines, reservándose incluso un segundo esquema con estas técnicas para los que no resolvían. Al segundo grupo (los restantes 25 pacientes) se le trató con esquemas convencionales para este tipo de afección. Los resultados obtenidos evidencian que con el uso de la acupuntura y técnicas afines se lograron resultados muy alentadores para esta afección: 10 pacientes mejoraron (40%) y 13 comensados (52%) y sólo un 8%, dos pacientes se mantuvieron iguales.
