Efecto diurético y toxicidad aguda de Achyranthes aspera en ratas

Abstract

La decocción de Achyranthes áspera (20% p/v) administrada en dosis de 200, 400 y 800 mg/kg de peso vía oral a ratas Wistar produjo un significativo incremento en el volumen de orina eliminado (p<0, 05, p<0, 01), así como la excreción de electrolitos (sodio y patasio) (p< 0, 01) en la dosis de 400 y 800 mg/kg de peso. El efecto diurético de la deccoción fue comparado con la hidroclorotiacida la cual se administró 25 mg/kg de peso vía oral.
