Abstract

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo y longitudinal a 35 niños del tercer año de vida para evaluar su estado nutricional, a través de técnicas antropométricas y determinar el comportamiento de los parámetros edad-peso, edad-talla y peso-talla, además de realizar las mesuraciones de la circunferencia cefálica y braquial y los pliegues cutáneos (bicipital, tricipital, subescapular) y a través de los datos obtenidos mediante la encuesta concluimos que la mayoría de los casos correspondieron a las categorías sobrepeso, no necesariamente obeso y alto nutrición normal, los cuales recibieron lactancia materna exclusiva hasta el cuarto mes de nacidos.
