Impronta genómica
Abstract
La impronta genómica es un proceso por medio del cual las células germinales masculinas y femeninas le confieren una marca o huella específica a ciertas regiones cromosómicas. Es un importante proceso del desarrollo de los mamíferos, incluyendo los seres humanos que pone de manifiesto la necesidad de la presencia de ambos genomas, materno y paterno, para un desarrollo embrionario normal. Este fenómeno tiene importantes implicaciones para enfermedades cromosómicas, cánceres en el niño y otras enfermedades asociadas con retraso mental. Hasta el momento la impronta genómica no es bien reconocida entre los médicos. Con el objetivo de actualizar en este tema, se presenta esta revisión.Downloads
