Manifestaciones neuroftalmológicas en el Síndrome de Inmunodeficiencia Adquirida
Abstract
El síndrome de inmunodeficiencia adquirida (SIDA) no es sólo un problema de salud pública, sino una enfermedad social y moral, que ha quebrantado la confianza en las relaciones interpersonales por el riesgo de contagio y ha hecho saltar en pedazos la seguridad de la medicina moderna. Lamentablemente no podemos afirmar todavía que la pandemia de SIDA haya llegado ya, sino más bien que está a punto de comenzar. Los más de 4 millones de pacientes clínicamente ya enfermos y los 12 a 16 millones de portadores asintomáticos, que se calcula existen en el planeta, no son nada comparados con las previsiones de la Organización Mundial de la Salud para el año 2000.Downloads
