Tratamiento de la enuresis funcional con digitopuntura y terapéutica convencional. Estudio comparativo

Abstract

Se realizó un ensayo clínico fase II tardía, aleatorizado y a ciegas en el Policlínico Provincial de Especialidades Pediátricas de Camagüey de Mayo a Octubre de 1997. El universo de trabajo abarcó un total de 60 niños con diagnóstico previo de enuresis funcional . Se constituyeron dos grupos , uno de estudio y otro de control, con 30 pacientes cada uno con el objetivo de valorar la eficacia del tratamiento con digitopuntura en relación con el método convencional . Al grupo estudio se le aplicó el tratamiento con digitopuntura y al grupo control la terapéutica convencional . Mediante encuesta se recogieron los datos primarios y se llevó el control evolutivo en ambos grupos. La enuresis funcional fue más frecuente en las edades de 5 a 10 años y, el inicio de la respuesta terapéutica , así como el control se logró más tempranamente con la digitopresión que resultó ser un método fácil de aplicar y carente de efectos adversos.
