Embarazo ectópico. Consideraciones en su diagnóstico

Abstract

Se realizó una investigación descriptiva, longitudinal y restrospectiva a pacientes a las cuales se les diagnosticó embarazo ectópico en el Hospital Provincial Materno-Infantil Ana Betancourt de Mora en el período comprendido entre el 1ro de enero y el 31 de diciembre de 1996 para determinar los pacientes estudiados los errores diagnósticos planteados inicialmente con las diferentes patologías en relación con el nivel de atención donde fueron valorados, así como destacar los que recibieron tratamiento médico y las remitidas a otro nivel de atención o egresados de esos centros. El universo de estudio lo constituyeron 119 pacientes portadoras de embarazo ectópico, de las cuales 16 recibieron tratamiento médico inicial en la atención primaria y ocho fueron remitidas a otros centros en el Hospital Provincial recibiendo tratamiento médico ambulatorio y 15 pacientes fueron egresados de esta institución con diferentes diagnósticos. La inflamación pélvica fue el planteamiento diagnóstico más significativo con 21, seguido por la metrorragia con 13. Merece especial consideración que el 47% de las mujeres recibió atención médica en los diferentes niveles de planteamientos diagnósticos erróneos y el 12, 6% fueron dados de alta del Hospital Materno Provincial.
