Abstract

Se realizó un análisis del manejo de la información del médico al enfermo oncológico y cómo ésta debe ser suministrada; destacando el papel del médico en la relación con este tipo de paciente acorde con las características personales del afectado y de sus posibles diferentes modalidades de respuesta emocional. Se imbrica en tal sentido el manejo del pronóstico, del tratamiento y el papel de la familia y la sociedad.
