La atención estomatológica en los servicios de urgencia hospitalaria

Abstract

Se realizó este estudio con el objetivo de dar a conocer las afecciones más comunes presentadas en el servicio de urgencias de Cirugía Maxilofacial de la Clínica perteneciente la Facultad de Estomatología de Camagüey, así como la conducta a seguir en cada caso. Para la búsqueda de información se utilizaron los términos de indización: urgencia, servicio de urgencia en hospital, cirugía bucal, odontología Se utilizó un diseño metodológico para profundizar en el programa de la asignatura por varios revisores. La mayor incidencia de las urgencias hospitalarias se centra en lesiones traumáticas, procesos sépticos, dolores bucofaciales, trastornos de Articulación Témporo Mandibular (ATM), lesiones premalignas y cancerosas entre otras afecciones. Se concluye que los traumatismos y los procesos sépticos son los más frecuentes en el servicio y deben tenerse en cuenta para su manejo adecuado.
