Frecuencia de parasitismo en un área de salud del municipio Camagüey

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio prospectivo y longitudinal de un área de salud del municipio Camagüey con los objetivos de determinar la frecuencia del parasitismo intestinal desde septiembre de 1996 a junio de 1997. El universo estuvo constituido por 300 personas tomadas mediante selección aleatoria. Se colectaron tres muestras de heces fecales por individuos, las cuales se procesaron en el laboratorio de Parasitología del Centro Provincial de Higiene y Epidemiología y Microbiología de nuestra ciudad según las técnicas normales del país. Se demostró la importancia de los exámenes seriados en la pesquisa de parasitismo intestinal.
