Colecistectomía laparoscópica. Informe de 1 100 pacientes operados

Abstract

Se presentan todos los resultados de los 1 100 pacientes operados mediante colecistectomía laparoscópica en el período de julio de 1996 a febrero de 1998 en el Hospital Provincial Docente Manuel Ascunce Domenech de Camagüey. El 84, 2 % de los operados correspondió al sexo femenino. Se encontró el 80, 3% entre los 20 y 60 años de edad. La Hipertensión Arterial fue la enfermedad asociada con mayor frecuencia. El 98, 4 % de los pacientes fueron egresados antes de las 24 horas del postoperatorio. La conversión de cirugía abierta se realizó en el 0, 4 % de los operados. Las complicaciones se presentaron en el 0, 9 % y no existió mortalidad en nuestra casuística. Coincidimos con otros autores en las ventajas que ofrece este proceder mínimamente invasivo para el tratamiento operatorio de la litiasis vesicular.
