Uso del género Teucrium con fines terapéuticos

Abstract

Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica acerca del género Teucrium para comprobar su utilización en otros países y el nuestro con fines terapéuticos, así como recopilar la información actualizada necesaria para investigaciones farmacológicas futuras. Se comprueba que diversos países estudian el género desde el punto de vista estructural. Las principales propiedades terapéuticas descritas son: Tónicas, Diuréticos, Antifebriles, Antihelmínticos y antidiarreicos. Al Teucrium cubense Jacq, se le atribuyen las propiedades anteriores y ha sido estudiada en México como hipoglicemiante y en España como insecticida.
