Morbimortalidad en embarazos postérmino

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo y prospectivo en gestantes con embarazo postérmino en el Hospital Ginecobstétrico Docente Ana Betancourt de Mora en el año 1995, para conocer la morbimortalidad relacionada con esa entidad. Las historias clínicas fueron la fuente de datos volcados a un cuestionario que se procesó por computación con el sistema Microstat aplicando por cientos y test de hipótesis de proporciones. Se diagnosticaron 250 gestantes para un 3, 96 %; de ellas 224 tenían entre 18-35 años y 166 eran nulíparas. El punto de líquido amniótico por ultrasonido fue normal en el 57, 37 %. El perfil biofísico fue normal en el 91, 10 % y nacieron vigorosos el 95,10 % de los bebés. El comienzo del parto fue espontáneo en el 52, 40 % de las gestantes y el 63, 20 % terminó en partos distócicos. El 40 % de los neonatos pesó de 3 000 a 3 499 grs, fue más frecuente la macrosomía que el bajo peso. El impétigo y la broncoaspiración de líquido amniótico meconial fueron la causa morbilidad del recién nacido más frecuente.
