Estudio neuropsicológico del paciente con enfermedad cerebrovascular

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio neuropsicológico de la función motora, conocimiento somatosensorial y percepción visoespacial en 16 pacientes hemipléjicos debido a enfermedad cerebrovascular en dos momentos de la misma.: etapa subaguda y en las primeras seis semanas de rehabilitación, con el objetivo de conocer diferencias entre estas tres funciones en estos dos momentos, su grado de recuperación y la efectividad de la Batería diagnóstica Neuropsicológica utilizada para detectar estos cambios. Se obtuvieron cambios significativos en cuanto a la función motora, no así en las funciones motoras estudiadas, lo que se explica por el enfoque unilateral de la rehabilitación que se realiza en unidades de salud. Esto demuestra la necesidad de neuropsicólogos en equipos de rehabilitación. Se ofrecen características de estas funciones en dichos pacientes y se demuestra que la prueba fue capaz de reflejar estos cambios.
