Evaluación neuropsicológica en pacientes con leucemia linfocítica aguda en remisión

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio a pacientes portadores de Leucemia Linfocítica Aguda en remisión completa continua, con un mínimo de cuatro años y con dos años o más sin tratamiento para determinar la presencia de lesiones subclínicas en el Sistema Nervioso Central; se efectuó examen físico neurológico, estudios neurofisiológicos, sicológicos o imagenológicos. Los resultados evidenciaron que los pacientes, a pesar de tener un examen físico normal presentaban al menos una de las pruebas anormales. Se obtuvo la mayor sensibilidad diagnóstica en los estudios sicológicos (100 %), seguido de los neurofisiológicos (60 %) y la T.A.C. de cráneo simple (20%). Se logró una evaluación más completa con los estudios psicológicos, neurofisiológicos unidos a los estudios imagenológicos. Se evidenció mayor por ciento de afectación en la sustancia gris del Sistema Nervioso Central que en la sustancia blanca.
