Creatinina sérica. Su utilidad en la predicción de niveles de fármaco en sangre

Abstract

Partiendo del valor de la creatinina sérica se estimaron parámetros farmacocinéticos en pacientes con fármacos administrados por infusión intravenosa constante, fundamentalmente el aclaramiento. Con este dato y a su vez conocida la velocidad de infusión de la solución del fármaco se procedió al cálculo de los niveles séricos. Esto no pudo realizarse en todos los pacientes, pues no siempre tenían la indicación de este examen complementario, lo que se señaló como un error, pues sobre todo, en individuos geriátricos esto es prácticamente indispensable. Los fármacos frecuentemente administrados fueron la teofilina y la carbenicilina, por lo que el análisis se realizó respecto a ellos. Por otra parte, fue posible evaluar el régimen de dosificación a través de la velocidad de infusión, la cual fue incorrecta en el 80 % de los pacientes evaluados.
