Eficacia de la acupuntura en el microsistema de mano para el tratamiento de la sacrolumbalgia aguda

Abstract

Se realizó un ensayo de Fase II temprana, abierto, controlado, no secuencial en 90 pacientes diagnosticados de sacrolumbalgia aguda en la consulta externa de Ortopedia del Hospital Militar Interprovincial Clínico Quirúrgico "Octavio de la Concepción y la Pedraja" de Camagüey, desde mayo hasta agosto de 1997, con el objetivo de determinar la eficacia del microsistema de mano como tratamiento de elección. Se comprueba la efectividad de esta terapéutica a partir del tercer día de tratamiento alcanzando su máxima expresión al quinto día. La mayoría de los pacientes (98,89%) son clasificados como asintomáticos al concluir el tratamiento. De forma comparativa con el tratamiento acupuntural corporal y el medicamentoso, el microsistema de mano representa un menor costo beneficio: corta duración, reincorporación social rápida. No se reportan complicaciones.
