Mortalidad por linfomas en un quinquenio

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo, transversal sobre el comportamiento de la mortalidad por Linfomas en el Hospital "MAD" de Camagüey en el quinquenio 1992-1996. El universo fue de 50 fallecidos. Se revisaron los expedientes clínicos de los mismos; y los datos fueron procesados de forma automatizada utilizando el paquete de programas estadísticos Microstat. Hubo un ligero predominio del Linfoma no-Hodgkin, de ellos la mayoría con más de 64 años, donde el linfoma linfocítico bien diferenciado fue la variedad más frecuentemente encontrada. En los Linfomas de Hodgkin prevalecieron los fallecidos entre 35 y 64 años, la Esclerosis Nodular fue la variedad histológica de mayor proporción; la fiebre fue el síntoma de mayor frecuencia en los Linfomas de Hodgkin, mientras que la pérdida de peso lo fue en los Linfomas no-Hodgkin, la Hepatoesplenomegalia fue el signo predominante en ambas clases clínicas. La eritrosedimentación fue el examen alterado más frecuente. La supervivencia sobre todo en el Linfoma no-Hodgkin fue baja donde ninguno logró sobrevivir más de tres años, el diagnóstico en fase tardía pudo estar relacionado con la baja supervivencia encontrada.
