Estudio del trauma acústico en unidades de tanques y artillería

Abstract

El estudio del Trauma Acústico en unidades de tanques y artillería demostró que esta afección traumática es más frecuente en artilleros, especialmente en grupos de mayores edades. Los Jefes de piezas de artillería y los conductores mecánicos se afectaron con más frecuencia. En general el tiempo de exposición, la intensidad del ruido que emite la fuente sonora y la posición que ocupa cada sujeto ejerció una influencia determinante en la aparición del déficit auditivo. Los acúfenos y el agotamiento excesivo después de las exposiciones fueron los síntomas más frecuentes en los militares estudiados. Los traumas acústicos en oídos izquierdos fueron más frecuentes en artilleros, sin embargo en tanquistas se afectaron los oídos derechos, dada la posición que ocupan las dotaciones en los diferentes medios de combate.
