Infección por papiloma virus humano. Frecuencia en nuestro medio

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo y transversal, con el propósito de determinar la frecuencia del papiloma virus humano en el municipo Céspedes en el bienio de enero de 1997 hasta diciembre de 1998. Se encontró que las edades de mayor frecuencia fueron las de 25 a 29 años y de 40-44. 80 % tuvo su primera relación sexual antes de los 20 años, de igual manera que el 64 % tuvo su primer parto antes de los 20 años. La leucorrea fue el síntoma clínico de mayor frecuencia, la mitad de las mujeres refirieron ser asintomáticas.
