Evaluación del desempeño clínico en el internado de estomatología

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio observacional, descriptivo y transversal con el próposito de evaluar el desempeño clínico en el internado de Estomatología en las habilidades de: confección de Historias Clínicas de atención primaria, Diagnóstico y tratamiento de la Caries Dental. Extracción de Dientes Normalmente Erupcionados, Diagnóstico y Tratamiento de Gingivitis Crónicas y Urgencias Periodontales según clínicas Estomatológicas. En general podemos decir que la evaluación del desempeño clínico del internado de Estomatología fue satisfactoria. Se demostró que los estudiantes del Policlínico Ignacio Agramonte alcanzaron los mejores resultados en la mayoría de las habilidades seleccionadas, y al comparar estos datos con la evaluación en asignaturas previamente relacionadas, sólo se determinó dependencia estadística en las habilidades de Diagnóstico y Tratamiento de la Caries Dental, Extracción de Dientes Normalmente Erupcionados y en las Urgencias Periodontales.
