Lupus eritematoso sistémico. Comportamiento clínico biológico

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio transversal, descriptivo y observacional de las manifestaciones clínico – biológicas que presentaron a lo largo de su evolución 50 pacientes diagnosticados de lupus eritematoso sistémico entre el 1 de enero de 1982 y el 1 de enero de 1996 en el servicio de medicina interna del Hospital Manuel Ascunce Domenech. Las manifestaciones iniciales más frecuentes fueron las articulares (70%), la fiebre (46%) y las manifestaciones cutáneas (30%), además de los síntomas generales que más frecuentemente se presentaron a lo largo de la evolución de los enfermos. La nefropatía se presentó en el 50% de los pacientes. De las manifestaciones biológicas resalta que las células LE se presentaron con una incidencia superior a la de otras series y que a dos pacientes no se pudo realizar los anticuerpos nucleares.
