Conocimiento de la comunidad sobre los factores de riesgo del cáncer de mama

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo utilizando como universo de estudio 108 mujeres escogidas al azar con edades de 30 a 60 años del consultorio No. 30 del Médico de la Familia del Policlínico Oeste de Camagüey, durante el mes de enero del año 2000, con el objetivo de conocer el nivel de información de las pacientes sobre los factores de riesgo del cáncer de mama. Se comprobó, que las mismas poseen un amplio conocimiento de la importancia del autoexamen de la mama, de la mamografía, y la conducta a seguir frente al nódulo de mama, no así frente a factores de riesgo como son: edad de la menarquia, de la menopausia, lactancia materna y antecedentes familiares de cáncer de mama.
