Trauma de tórax: un reto terapéutico

Abstract

Se revisaron los expedientes clínicos de 252 pacientes ingresados con diagnóstico de trauma de tórax en la sala de traumatología del Hospital Provincial Docente Manuel Ascunce Domenech de Camagüey, en los años 1996–1999, ambos inclusive, con el propósito de conocer la incidencia y terapéutica de esta entidad. Se tiene en cuenta la forma de producción del trauma, el tipo de tratamiento empleado en cada caso, la efectividad de la analgesia peridural, así como las complicaciones que se presentaron en estos pacientes. Se hace una revisión de la bibliografía disponible y la comparamos con nuestros resultados.
