Normativo de la onda F para el nervio mediano

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio experimental predictivo y prospectivo en el laboratorio de neurofisiología de la provincia de Camagüey entre enero de 1997 y junio de 1998, con el objetivo de determinar los valores normales de las variables de la onda F y el menor número de estímulos necesarios para las mismas en el nervio mediano. Se efectuaron comparaciones derecha izquierda y proximal-distal. Los datos fueron procesados con el paquete estadístico CSS-I. No existió diferencia derecha e izquierda y sí proximal y distal en las variables estudiadas. Se demostró que el mínimo de estímulos requeridos para obtener números de ondas F fue 45. Al disminuir el tiempo de la prueba y esclarecer la interpretación clínica de los resultados se disminuyó el costo de la misma evitándose así la utilización de otros estudios diagnósticos más cruentos y costosos.
