Evaluación del programa de suplementación con prenatal en la embarazada desde 1993 hasta 1999 en la provincia Camaguey

Abstract

Se analizaron los indicadores: bajo peso al nacer, aumento de peso menor de 8 Kg. al término del embarazo, hemoglobina inferior a 110 gr/l en el tercer. Trimestre defunciones fetales tardías en el período del 1992 al 1999, en nuestra Provincia encontrando que existió una disminución apreciable en el bajo peso al nacer y en los casos de ganancia insuficiente de peso a partir de la implementación del Programa, especialmente después de la instrumentación del Sistema de Vigilancia. No ocurrió lo mismo con los indicadores de hemoglobina y defunciones fetales tardías, lo que indica que aún existían dificultades en el menejo del Programa.
