Abstract

Este trabajo pretende rescatar tradiciones que pertenezcan a nuestro patrimonio para lograr revertirlas, lo que permite la adquisición de valores que desarrollan el sentido de pertenencia e identidad nacional de las nuevas generaciones. Entrevistamos a descendientes de familias oriundas de Puerto Príncipe. Revisamos y consultamos bibliografía de la época (1864-1944) y actualizada en el desarrollo de la formación de valores. La investigación ha permitido desarrollar una actividad educativa sustentada en una plataforma de valores, elevando el nivel de motivación en las clases al hacer que los estudiantes se pongan en contacto con la historia y las tradiciones y con ello contribuir al movimiento de rescate de nuestro patrimonio. El trabajo hace posible reconocer el papel fundamental que juega la cultura en la formación de valores, con el fin de formar los profesionales integrales y revolucionarios que necesita nuestra universidad de hoy.
