Pesquisa de cáncer de mama

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio transversal en 244 mujeres de 15 y más años del Consultorio 24 del médico de familia, de la Policlínica Comunitaria Docente Ignacio Agramonte y Loynaz, durante el año 1999, con el objetivo de pesquisar el cáncer de mama, a todas se les realizó examen físico de las mamas y a las que resultaron positivas de afecciones de este órgano se les hizo ultrasonografía para definir el diagnóstico. El grupo de edades de mayor frecuencia fue el de más de 60 años, prevalecieron las mujeres sin antecedentes familiares de cáncer ni historia propia de afecciones de mamas, con su primer hijo antes de los 30 años, menarquia entre 12 y 14 años y tipo corporal promedio, finalmente resultó que un 9, 38 % tenían lesiones benignas y el 0, 81 % malignas.
