Sistema integrado de urgencias médicas. Experiencia en nuestro medio
Abstract
Se realizó un estudio descriptivo y transversal con el objetivo de conocer el comportamiento del Sistema Integrado de Urgencias Médicas, en el período comprendido entre enero de 1998 a abril de 1999, en el policlínico docente Teniente Tomás Rojas. Municipio Carlos Manuel de Céspedes en Camagüey. Los principales resultados estuvieron dados por un 42, 3 % de pacientes atendidos por pediatría; 31, 5 % por medicina interna; 23, 5 % por medicina general integral; 14, 5 % por obstetricia. Se realizaron un total de 2 478 remisiones. Solamente el 9, 7 % de los pacientes atendidos eran en realidad tributarios de los servicios de urgencia médica. La morbilidad estuvo representada por enfermedades diarreicas agudas, asma bronquial, cardiopatía, cólico nefrítico. La mortalidad estuvo dada por 101 pacientes fallecidos, el 38, 5 % por infarto agudo del miocardio.Downloads
