Morbilidad por cáncer de colon y recto

Abstract

Se realizó un análisis de los expedientes clínicos de todos los pacientes que acudieron al servicio de cirugía general con el diagnóstico clínico, imagenológico, o ambos, de cáncer colorrectal en el período comprendido entre enero 1988 - diciembre 1999. Se incluyeron en el estudio 47 expedientes cuyo diagnóstico de CCR fue confirmado por Histopatología, así como fueron excluidos nueve expedientes por no haber sido confirmado el diagnóstico. El grupo de edad más afectado resultó ser el comprendido entre 63-73 años, con 26 pacientes (55, 31 %), el sexo masculino tuvo la mayor incidencia con 31 pacientes (65, 95 %), el tipo histológico que predominó fue el adenocarcinoma con 39 pacientes (82, 98 %), el estadio tumoral que predominó fue el tipo B2 (Dukes).
