Análisis de la situación de salud bucal. Consultorio 22 del área centro de camagüey

Abstract

En un estudio descriptivo, se realizó un análisis de la situación de salud en una población de 619 habitantes pertenecientes, al consultorio No 22 del área Centro en la ciudad de Camagüey durante el año 1999. Los resultados obtenidos reflejan que sobre esta población actúan factores de riesgo biológicos, ambientales, así como hábitos sobre los que no se realizó un adecuado control. El índice ced fue de 0, 72 y el CPOD de 14, 2. Existió predominio de los grupos III (enfermo) y IV (enfermo con secuelas) y se detectó un incremento de la morbilidad por enfermedades estomatológicas, excepto las enfermedades parodontales, las cuales disminuyen, por lo que el estado de salud bucal fue desfavorable. A partir de este análisis se identificaron y priorizaron los problemas sobre los cuales se deberá intervenir. El objetivo de este trabajo fue determinar el estado de salud bucal de la población objeto de estudio.
