Conversiones en colecistectomía laparoscópica

Abstract

Se presentaron los resultados de las conversiones a cirugía abierta en 4 000 pacientes operados mediante colecistectomía laparoscópica en un período de cinco años en el Hospital Provincial Clínico-Quirúrgico Docente Manuel Ascunce Domenech de Camagüey. En nuestra serie fueron convertidos a cirugía abierta 18 pacientes para un 0, 004 %, cifra inferior a la reportada en la literatura. El 61, 1 % de los pacientes convertidos fueron del sexo femenino, y el 44, 4 % tenían entre 41 y 60 años de edad. Las enfermedades asociadas más frecuentes fueron las cardiovasculares. Las principales causas de conversión en nuestra serie fueron las colecistitis agudas, con predominio de los pacientes con 72 horas o más de evolución, y las fístulas bilioentéricas. No hubo mortalidad.
