Impacto de la dinámica de grupo en la educación del paciente diabético

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo longitudinal sobre la influencia de la educación para la salud, con el objetivo de adquirir conocimientos, cambiar actitudes y controlar la enfermedad en pacientes diabéticos de cuatro consultorios de la Policlínica Comunitaria Docente de Sibanicú, en el año 2001. El universo fue de 66 pacientes con diabetes mellitus a los que se le aplicó un minimental test, resultaron aptos para la Investigación 62 diabéticos, a los que se les realizó una encuesta sobre conocimientos básicos de su enfermedad y resultó que el mayor porcentaje fue evaluado de regular, así como su actitud ante la misma. Después de la estrategia de intervención educativa cambiaron favorablemente estos aspectos, así como el logro de un mejor control metabólico en la mayoría de los pacientes.
