Comparación de métodos mioterapéuticos para eliminar el hábito de succión digital

Abstract

Se realizó un ensayo clínico controlado y abierto de fase II en niños de seis a nueve años de edad, de ambos sexos, matriculados en el seminternado Granma durante el curso escolar 1997-1998 con el propósito de comparar la eficacia de los métodos mioterapéuticos para suprimir el hábito de succión digital, para lo cual se seleccionaron 30 succionadores de forma aleatoria estratificada, según el paquete de programas EPIDAT. Esta muestra se dividió en 15 niños para el grupo de estudio, al cual se le aplicó la mioterapia de forma colectiva (dinámica grupal) y el de control con los restantes niños, a quienes se aplicó esta terapéutica de forma individual. Ambos tratamiento se evaluaron a los seis meses y al año de aplicados, y se obtuvieron los mejores resultados con la mioterapia a través de la dinámica grupal.
