Cáncer en el estómago operado: comunicación de 30 casos

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio retrospectivo de 30 casos con un cáncer de estómago operado entre los años 1990 – 2000 en los hospitales Manuel Ascunce Domenech, Amalia Simoni y Madame Curie de la ciudad de Camagüey, se pudo constatar que esta enfermedad es más común en el sexo masculino y en la séptima década de la vida. Se presentó más frecuentemente en estómagos sometidos a una gastrectomía tipo Billroth II presenta en un intervalo libre variable y en pacientes de 10 a 31 años. El diagnóstico, por desgracia es tardío, se fundamenta sobre todo en esófago, estómago y duodeno, endoscopia con biopsia o citología; histopatológicamente son los tumores epiteliales los de mayor frecuencia.
