SIDA, evaluación de la información general en estomatología

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo con el objetivo de evaluar la información general sobre el sida en Estomatología en los estomatólogos del municipio Camagüey, en el período comprendido de mayo de 2000 a julio de 2001. El universo de estudio estuvo constituido por 303 estomatólogos; la muestra seleccionada la formaron 142 estomatólogos, a los que se les aplicaron encuestas con el objetivo de identificar los conocimientos generales que poseen sobre el sida. Se observó que el nivel de información acerca de las manifestaciones bucales relacionadas con la enfermedad son regulares; no se conocen los síntomas, los signos de la enfermedad ni las manifestaciones bucales.
