Aplicación de un colutorio de aloe en el tratamiento de la estomatitis subprótesis

Abstract

Se realizó un ensayo clínico fase II abierto en la clínica Estomatológica Docente La Vigía, de la ciudad de Camagüey, en el período de enero de 2000 a julio de 2001. La muestra se conformó con 30 pacientes mayores de 20 años de ambos sexos (10 en cada grado clínico de la lesión) Para esta selección se tuvieron en cuenta los criterios de diagnóstico, inclusión y exclusión. Para el tratamiento de la estomatitis subprótesis se utilizó un colutorio de Aloe fabricado en el Laboratorio de Producción de Medicamentos de Camagüey, el cual fue aplicado por el paciente tres veces al día. Se consideraron curados todos los que eliminaron los signos y síntomas por los cuales fueron incluidos en el estudio. Se concluyó que los pacientes de los grados I y II necesitaron menor tiempo para curar que los del grado III. No se presentaron reacciones adversas durante la investigación.
