Quiste radicular. A propósito de un caso

Abstract

Se presentó un paciente con un quiste radicular extenso que ocupaba todo el seno maxilar derecho ampliado y deformado, con erosión del reborde alveolar, en una paciente femenina de 39 años de edad que se quejaba de presentar una masa que deformaba la hemicara derecha, de unos tres meses de evolución progresiva, lenta, sin otras manifestaciones clínicas. El quiste se desarrolló a expensas de la raíz del segundo premolar superior derecho. En la discusión se planteó el mecanismo etiopatogénico de estos quistes, su constitución y contenido. Se mostraron los hallazgos radiológicos, así como los quirúrgicos y el estudio microscópico de las paredes del quiste.
