Atelectasia masiva del pulmón izquierdo en paciente con trauma craneal. Reporte de un caso

Abstract

Se presentó el caso de un paciente masculino de 32 años, que fue anunciado al salón de operaciones con el diagnóstico de trauma craneal grave con fractura deprimida complicada, que desarrolló una atelectasia masiva del pulmón izquierdo por un tapón mucoso en el período posoperatorio. Se evidenciaron algunas manifestaciones clínicas de la misma durante el transoperatorio que desaparecieron al cambiar el paciente de la camilla a la mesa de operaciones, aparentemente por movilización del tapón mucoso. En el posoperatorio fue necesaria la broncoscopia con lavado bronquial y extracción de secreciones. Se hace una revisión de las causas desencadenantes más frecuentes de esta afección en el perioperatorio.
