Síndrome de Alport: herencia y trasplante renal en una familia

Abstract

Se trata de una familia distribuida en tres generaciones afectada por nefropatía familiar hematúrica (Síndrome de Alport-Perkoff) En tres de ellos se asoció la nefropatía y la sordera, además padecieron de insuficiencia renal crónica y fueron transplantados. Uno de ellos falleció por linfoma primario cerebral y los otros dos no presentaron alteraciones de la función renal; en seis de ellos se constató hipoacusia, mientras que un solo paciente, el más joven de esta familia, no mostró síntomas. Las mujeres presentaron trastornos en etapas más avanzadas de la vida. Se señalan las características hereditarias, clínicas y terapéuticas de esta enfermedad.
