Analgesia quirúrgica acupuntural (AQA) con y sin premedicación en la cirugía de glaucoma

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio prospectivo longitudinal en 60 pacientes afectados de glaucoma crónico simple descompensado bilateral, que fueron sometidos a tratamiento quirúrgico bajo los efectos de la analgesia quirúrgica acupuntural (AQA) con y sin premedicación, con 30 pacientes cada uno, en el período de enero a junio del 2001, con el objetivo de demostrar la eficacia de la AQA sin premedicación según las variables: sexo, edad, antecedentes patológicos personales y resultados transoperatorios por oftalmología y anestesiología. Se utilizaron dos agujas No 28 de 1-1,5 cm en los puntos intestino grueso 4 (Ig4) y triplefunción 5 (TF5) acoplados a un estimulador con frecuencia de 10 Hz; predominó el grupo etáreo de 71-80 años, sexo masculino y la hipertensión arterial como antecedente patológico personal. Según oftalmología, los resultados fueron buenos en el 100 % de los pacientes con y sin premedicación; y según anestesiología, satisfactorios en el 86, 67 % en ambos grupos. Todas las operaciones fueron realizadas bajo control microscópico.
